BABICHacoustics provided architectural acoustics design and environmental noise control for this new medical mall just north of Pittsburgh, PA. A pre-construction noise survey was completed to determine existing ambient noise levels at the project site in order for the building to comply with the local noise ordinance. Noise from mechanical and electrical systems serving the building was also analyzed to show compliance with the code. Architectural acoustic recommendations for the entire building were given in order to comply with acoustical requirements from the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI). Wall partitions, floor-ceiling assemblies, and interior finishes, and mechanical design were reviewed to confirm compliance with this health care standard.
