BABICHacoustics worked with LLI Engineering to design a new Central Cooling and Heating Plant to serve Allegheny Health Network’s new Wexford Hospital north of Pittsburgh, PA. Noise calculations were completed to determine the amount of noise generated by the power plant. Recommendations were made to reduce inlet, exhaust, and radiated noise levels from emergency generators and mechanical equipment associated with the plant. The data was used to predict noise levels in the adjacent Health & Wellness Pavilion and to show compliance with the Pine Township noise ordinance.
