BABICHacoustics assisted Chatham University with the renovation of music practice rooms and faculty offices in the lower level of Laughlin Music Hall in Pittsburgh, PA. Chatham Facilities completed this small renovation project; assistance was provided for this design-build project.
Recommendations for the construction of walls, floating floors, doors, and ceilings were given to reduce noise between rooms. Acoustical treatments were recommended to reduce reverberation within the practice rooms and faculty offices. Site visits were completed to inspect construction methodologies and ensure a successful project for the university.
