Fairfax Apartments Noise Survey

Project description

BABICHacoustics provided acoustical consulting services for an emergency generator addition to this apartment building in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. An environmental noise survey was provided prior to construction to identify existing noise levels in adjacent residential and commercial properties. The data was used to provide an assessment to determine the best location for the emergency generator as well as noise control solutions for the project. Evaluation and recommendations for a sound barrier wall for the new generator was provided in order to indicate compliance with the City of Pittsburgh noise code.
