AnnMarie Rowland Hirsh joined BABICHacoustics in 2021. Annie specializes in noise and vibration control, with a particular interest in testing and data analysis. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Engineering in Acoustics from The Pennsylvania State University. Her final capstone paper explored different techniques of noise source identification and their application to large-scale industrial equipment located in complex sound fields.
Annie has completed a range of architectural acoustics projects for laboratories, offices, universities, mixed-use, and government buildings. Prior to working at BABICHacoustics, Annie spent more than 10 years doing acoustic and vibration testing and analysis for nuclear power plants and other power generation equipment at several companies in the Pittsburgh area.
In her spare time, Annie enjoys trying new food and craft beers, learning Spanish, watching baseball, and traveling — including frequent trips to Walt Disney World. Her past trip to Tokyo Disney Resort is the catalyst of her goal to visit every international Disney theme park.
Because of her experience with nuclear power systems, Annie has the ability to design and create tests for noise and vibration surveys in order to create unique solutions for her clients. Annie is a Board Certified Member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering and a Member of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants and is involved in the Outreach & Inclusion Committee for the organization.
