Project description
BABICHacoustics provided acoustical consulting services for the Design-Build Team. Sound and impact isolation between tenants or owners of multi-family dwellings needs to comply with acoustical requirements in the International Building Code (IBC). In this project, the demising walls separating the units included design challenges including the intersection of structural floors in each unit. Design details were reviewed and recommendations given to reduce flanking sound transmission and airborne and structure-borne noise control.
